Stars & Nebulae
A one-day space camp about Stars & Nebulae, with numerous hands-on activities both indoor and outdoor, including some special time in the Pierce College Science Dome. Activities will focus on learning more about star formation, nuclear fusion, and nebulae. Please note: we will be tie-dying at camp, so please be sure to either add on a white t-shirt to your purchase, or bring your own white t-shirt to camp. Please also make sure your child is wearing clothing that won't be ruined by errant dye!
For ages 6-8 and 9-11
Activities are designed to engage learning through observation, reasoning, and hands-on experience.
Camp Hours: 9 AM—4:30PM . Participants can be dropped off any time between 8:30 and 9 AM, and picked up any time between 4:30 and 5 PM, with supervised care at those times.
Camp takes place at Pierce College Ft. Steilacoom, located at 9401 Farwest Dr. SW, Lakewood, WA 98498. Our home base will be the Science Dome, in the Rainier Building room 263.
COST: $65 per child, snacks provided. Please pack a lunch and bring a water bottle. Some scholarships are available. To apply for a scholarship or nominate a child for a scholarship please fill out this application.
